Many of you, like us are action takers! That’s awesome, and in order to be successful in real estate investing, you need to be. However, some of us neglect one of the next important things in order to be successful, and that is ensuring you have an effective, back office set up, and with that goes effective tax planning
We’re pleased to have real estate investor and CPA Cherry Chan join us to talk about effective tax planning and ensuring you have solid systems in place to ensure your business runs smoothly and tax efficiently. Cherry will explain the criteria needed for investors to successfully incorporate their rental portfolios. When done correctly, you can save thousands of dollars in taxes. She will also provide the answers to your taxation questions. Some topics that will be covered include the 3 streams of income, tax treatment for rental properties, business income versus capital income and much more.
Cherry’s experience as both a real estate investor and CPA will be invaluable to those investors who want to take their business to the next level in 2017. We hope you’ll join us on February 21st!
** NEW PAYMENT POLICY **
One of the things we’ve decided to do is a small change from our previous meetups. We were truly humbled at the generousity of investors who attended our meet up in December to come with non perishable food items we could donate to Community Care St Catharines, however, we realized that these food banks need help year round. Therefore, we are instituting a policy that moving forward we will be asking to investors wishing to attend to donate 2 non-perishable food items or a $10 donation which in turn will be given to Community Care St. Catharines. And while our goal as the organizers is to still provide access to real estate education, the donations we will collect will go directly to our neighbours in the community who need a helping hand. We trust you will agree it’s a small price to pay!
